यह रूप कभी नहीं बदलता (अव्यय की तरह): हर लिङ्ग, वचन और विभक्ति में यही रहता है।This form never changes (like an indeclinable): it stays the same in every gender, number and case.

वाक्य में सम्बन्ध और हेत्वर्थ"Having done" and "in order to" in a sentence

सम्बन्ध कृदन्त बताता है कि एक काम करके दूसरा काम होता है; हेत्वर्थ बताता है कि काम किस लिए होता है। वाक्य की मुख्य क्रिया अलग रहती है।The सम्बन्ध form says one action is done before another; the हेत्वर्थ form says what an action is for. The main verb of the sentence stays separate.

कृदन्त और संज्ञा का मेलParticiples agree with their noun

नि.७४, ७६, ७८ · प्राकृत स्वयं-शिक्षक

वर्तमान, भूत, भविष्य और विधि कृदन्त विशेषण की तरह काम करते हैं। वे संज्ञा की तरह चलते हैं और जिस संज्ञा के साथ आते हैं, उसी के लिङ्ग, वचन और विभक्ति में होते हैं।The present, past, future and gerundive participles work like adjectives. They decline like nouns and take the gender, number and case of the noun they go with.

पुल्लिंग और नपुंसकलिंग में ये अकारान्त शब्दों की तरह चलते हैं, जैसे पुरिस (पुल्लिंग: पुरिसो), णयर (नपुंसकलिंग: णयरं)।In the masculine and neuter they decline like nouns ending in अ, such as पुरिस (masculine: पुरिसो), णयर (neuter: णयरं).
स्त्रीलिंग संज्ञा के साथ इनका स्त्रीलिंग रूप आता है, जो स्त्रीलिंग शब्दों की तरह चलता है।With a feminine noun they take a feminine form, which declines like feminine nouns.
सम्बन्ध और हेत्वर्थ कृदन्त कभी नहीं बदलते।The सम्बन्ध and हेत्वर्थ forms never change.
